Meet our Misty Acres Team:

Karen PriemerKaren is the owner, caretaker, and herd mama of our beautiful Misty Acres farm. Every day Karen, her family, and the Misty Acres team pour their hearts into cultivating a safe, healing, and engaging space for the community.Karen is a certified Eagala Equine Specialist and is also trained in the Natural Lifemanship modality of trauma informed Equine Assisted Therapy. Karen and her husband, Gordon, have been blessed with this beautiful piece of property and a beautiful life together that has undoubtedly come with its fair share of obstacles. Together they have learned through this property and through their time together, that it is those obstacles that have shaped who they are today. When their daughter became the equestrian of the family, they purchased their first horse, an Arabian named Misty. After being involved in the hunter/jumper circuit for many years, they purchased the 12.5 acre property in Bath, Ohio that would become the core for hope and healing. Now home to 6 horses, the herd continues to be the undeniable force of heart energy that allows healing to occur. The couple continues to walk the path of faith that God has blessed them with this unique space to share with others for hope and healing…for all those who step foot on this natural sanctuary. Check out “Our Story” on our website to learn how Karen and her family formed Misty Acres.

Debbie is an Energy Medicine Practitioner and Owner of The Ideal Method®, LLC. Debbie joined the Misty Acres team in 2019 providing Energy Healing to the herd to help keep the horses emotionally and physically balanced so that they can be at their best.

She also helps with grooming the horses and teaches new volunteers the ‘Intention and Gratitude’ grooming style used at Misty Acres. This unique style of grooming sets the stage to begin building trusting and loving relationships between the volunteers and the horses.

In addition to her work with the horses, Debbie also facilitates several programs at Misty Acres. Check out ‘Upcoming Events’ for future programs.
